Water Baptism

Water Baptism is an illustration of what God has done for us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. When we are baptized, like he instructed, we are dunked under the water signifying that our old self has died. When we are pulled back up from the water it is a picture of being given a new life from Jesus.

Join the 2NDFam

CONNEXT is the way we gather to learn about our Second Family.  This is a gathering where you can come to learn more about what we believe and the ministries we have. In these gatherings, you will hear from our pastors and staff as they share about Second’s mission, purpose, and how you can be involved. Everyone is welcome at this event, and we offer this class during a Small Group hour so childcare is available.

If you would like to become a member of Second Baptist, CONNEXT serves as our intro to membership class and is required.

We just like to know how we can best serve you. Some of our members grew up in a baptist church, but not all. Many had never been to church before attending 2ND Baptist. We are happy to include many different backgrounds in the 2NDFam.
