Mission Costa Rica | College Trip

2nd College! Join us during Spring Break of 2025 as we travel to partner with Casa Vida Church in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, near Tamarindo. This is our third year returning to serve in this community of Costa Rica. 

Juan Diego “Pano” Rojas, Alex Bejarano, and Alvaro Marves established Casa Vida Church. They started an outreach at the Tamarindo skate park by becoming a chapter of Christian Surfers. Their goal is to share the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

In 2008, the chapter became a church that served and cared for the community of Tamarindo and surrounding areas.
At this time, a facility was rented to hold services, but in 2014, God opened the doors for the church to buy land and build a permanent location. At God’s leading, they continue expanding their facilities and offering more to their community. In 2019, the elders felt a calling to provide a second service in English, and in 2021, they began sharing classrooms for Flourish Children’s Christian School to be on their campus.

In 2021, they built a children’s playground for the church and school children. These additions and the church becoming bilingual have paved the way for them to reach out to English-speaking locals, visitors, and families.

Casa Vida’s vision is to unite their community and grow their love for Christ.

The church gathers with the English service on Sundays, beginning at 9:30 a.m. After that, they have a shared music worship time at 10:30 a.m., where they sing in English and Spanish. Worship time ends with the Spanish-speaking service, which begins at 11:00 a.m.
