STUDENT WORSHIP BAND INTEREST MEETING
When: Saturday, January 19 ~ 10am-2pm
Where: Student Center
RSVP: CLICK HERE
This is for anyone who has been a part of the band in the past, as well as anyone new who would like to join. Since I (Will) am new to Second Baptist Church, this is a great way for me to meet everyone and for us to begin building a great team for Wednesdays! This meeting will be a super important part of us laying the groundwork for what our team will look like. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what being a part of the band means in both leadership and commitment, and worshipping all together. Lunch will be provided with your RSVP.
Join us February 3 at 2nd Baptist for fellowship, food and football! We’ll meet at the Student Center @ 5pm. We’ll hang out together, eat, laugh, play, celebrate and watch the Superbowl! All 2nd students and parents are invited and feel free to bring your friends! We will grill burgers. You bring the sides. Girls bring sweet snacks and boys bring savory snacks.
Sign Up HERE so we know how many to prepare for.
Join us on Sunday, February 17 in the Student Center for an evening of daddy/daughter fellowship. The date night will include dinner, dessert and the opportunity to have your photograph taken - so dress as fancy as you'd like! Tickets are $10. One ticket gains admission for dad and his 7th-12th grade daughter(s). Doors open at 6:00 pm.
Location: Cold Springs Retreat
The first weekend in March, we are taking our students to Cold Springs Retreat, just outside of Conway, for a discipleship driven weekend. We will leave Friday, March 1st and will be back for church at 9:30 on Sunday the 3rd. The theme for the weekend is TRIBES. We all have circles of influence. Whether it be a study group, a sports team, band or other extra curricular activities, or just a group of your friends— we ALL have different TRIBES we are part of. This weekend, we want to encourage our students to use their influence to reach their TRIBE for God’s Glory.
Cost: $340 ($100 deposit due by January 31)
About: At Centrifuge, students are divided into groups for recreation and Bible study based on age ranges by grade completed. Recreation is facilitated within Bible study groups by a member of our trained FUGE camp staff, who also leads the Bible study. Each activity serves a specific purpose and is debriefed so students can make application in their lives.
Students also participate in Track Times. Track Times are created to give students the opportunity to participate in something with which they are familiar, or try something new! Students are divided into “tracks” based on a list of activities they indicate during the registration process. We offer creative, active, performance, and classroom-based activities during these times, and each track is led by a member of the FUGE staff.
